I will be posting the 'IV' brochure at two grocery stores in my town. I have also made some contacts with Chinese and Indian students at a university here. I would check with them if they can post our brochures

I am in the process of changing job. The new employer is saying that I can start working with them from the very next day, after they file H1B transfer application. ie I don't have to wait for the receipt. Is this true? They are asking me to give 2 weeks notice immediately so that by the time they file H1B, 2 weeks will get over, and I can start there immediately.
Please reply its kind of urgent for me.

Yes,, that's true. You dont need to wait for the USCIS Receipt.. the Fedex delivery receipt is enough for you start working...but it is considered safer to wait for a week before you start working.. because USCIS would have banked the check by then for the fees and that usually the check would have the receipt no on the back.. but again you dont have to wait for this..the fedex ack is enough to start work

I had applied for my I-485 in the July 2007 fiasco and i have my EAD and AP renewed every 2 /1 years. My I-140 is approved in Mar 2008.
Now i got a full time opportunity with a company and i want to know which option is best for me. I have my H1 visa valid till 2011 November and i am now in 5th year of my H1.
Shall i use H1 transfer to move to new company which offered me full time job or use EAD?
Which is safer for me? And do i need to apply AC21 or is it optional? Most of my friends are saying to not to apply for AC21.
If i use EAD and if my I-485 has any issues, what will be my status?

New Delhi: India has come up with the world's cheapest laptop, a touch-screen computing device that will cost just $35.
Human resource development minister, Kapil Sibal, this week unveiled the low-cost computing device that is designed for students, saying his department had started talks with global manufacturers to start mass production.
"We have reached a (developmental) stage, that today the motherboard, its chip, its processing, connectivity, all of them cumulatively cost around $35, including memory, display, everything," he told a news conference.
He said the touch-screen gadget was packed with internet browsers, PDF reader and video conferencing facilities, but its hardware was created with sufficient flexibility to incorporate new components according to user requirement.
Sibal said the Linux-based computing device was expected to be introduced to higher education institutions from 2011, but the aim was to drop the price further to $20 and ultimately to $10.
The device was developed by research teams at India's premier technological institutes, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and the Indian Institute of Science.
India spends about three% of its annual budget on school education and has improved its literacy rates to over 64% of its 1.2 billion population, but studies have shown that many students can barely read or write and most state-run schools have inadequate facilities.

I have a question to concerning my employment status. My manager recently told me that I should look out for a new job within company or outside. I am assuming he is saying that a layoff is looming out for me. I am currently on H-1B/EAD and my wife is also working on EAD.
I can inquire about the prsopects of getting leave of absence which will help me in getting through the immigration process since my priority date is Feb. 18,2005 EB2 India. So I am almost there.
But I am not sure what happens if there is a RFE asking for paystubs.In that case I may not be able to produce paystubs from my company since I am on LOA. And not from any other company since I have an H-1B, I cannot be working for any other company also.
So which is better, LOA or termination of job? Hard choice..

As far as I remember , there was an FAQ somewhere in USCIS website that mentioned that they will not ask for 2nd FP again. I may be wrong but I think I had seen it somewhere and this also discussed in some thread on this site.

To the person who gave me red with the comment "post the valid reason." That was not necessary, you could have just sent me a message.
Anyhow, the reason is that the company I trusted & toiled for past 8 years is down the tubes, after having faced years of lies, deceit & false promises. I know it's all my fault for being so trusting, so now I am trying to forget that pain & treatment & just progress moving forward.
So from what I gather, I can apply for a H1-B now, but it will be only for 1 year? I want to do a "new" H1 instead of a "transfer", since the company finances are a BIG ZERO or -VE, so I have no paystubs to show. And then eventually I want to file new GC with this new company.

This is after the dates were pushed back to 2003. There was no movement for a few months. Hopefully they are starting to process the apps in order now.
Not really. There appears to be no orderly fashion. My PD is June 2007 EB2. I got an RFE on My I 485 in May 2008.
