Guys, today I got our permanent residence visa from Canadian consular in LA that I almost had applied three years ago.
The visa is valid until June 9, 2007 and I really can not get my job done here in US until then. It is just too close. Even kinds will be in school by then.
Any one knows that if I can apply for an extension or not? I really don�t want to let it go since we spent so much money for it.
Any help is appreciated.

I had got RFE email on 8/28/08. I got the letter today in mail.
My mother's name on G325A was written as her mainden name (as per form instructions) and its her married name on my BC. Now USCIS finds this discrepancy and needs evidence to establish my parentage. I will have to submit my BC which is already been done. I am not sure if that will suffice.
Has anyone else had similar issue?

All my 140,EAD,AP, H1 renewal approvals have all been from NSC, never had any application at TSC.
So I guess it may just be a case of USCIS balancing the case load between NSC, TSC, however I would expect others to see similar moves as well in that case.

Please let me know, after how many days u got u'r extention.....am also in same situation .My H1-B extension was filed on sept 1st,requesting for additional 3 years (after the 1st 6 yrs) to VSC on regular basis. My labor and I-140 were also approved. The case has been pending since then.

MS+0 works fine for EB2. Couple of my friends have got GC through this qualification only.They were B.Tech Computer Science + Master Computer Science (US)

I'm not sure about Mortgage.
But for Cars I heard below.
One of my known Uncle who is having GC went to buy Lexus car in NJ and they hesitated to approve him loan and by this my Uncle got upset and he downpaid whole money. Ofcourse he is Wealthy.
One of my collegue who is in US from past 3.5 years went to Honda showroom and they didn't approve him Loan as he doens't have valid Visa & I-797 is valid for couple of months only.
Forget about Banks, even Credit Unions are doing the same.

I think there is another option too. If she can get in touch with a hospital here, she can come directly for fellowship after which she will have to practice within the same hospital. Some specialties like Radiology and Pathology give you unrestricted license to practice anywhere in US after putting up with the fellowship for certain number of years (5 years in case of radiology). Please check this fellowship option with others who might be more knowledgeable.

This template sounds very good to me, I will post the same at IV and let you know the feed back. Also I will direct the folks struck in chicago to you, they can hire you if they want you to represent them or I will ask them how do they want to proceed.
If we give the case number and employer name, would there be any impact/side effect ?
I will keep you posted and thanks a lot for your time

As for putting names and case numbers, without that information, they won’t take the letter seriously. Also, I think that this will get the DOL to move on those cases. Almost every time I have made a specific complaint, they have responded by resolving the case right away in order to make the whole thing go away. It wouldn’t surprise me to see the same thing here.

be aware. All these PDF editing tools leave a watermark - "Draft" or "Trial Version".
They are totally useless.
Earlier trial Adobe 7.0 Professional did give edit and save. Not 8.0
Bottonline: don't waste time or by 8.0 for USD 1800 or so. Or use one who has PDF editors (Admins etc)

guys..it is very unfortunate that you felt that im here to make sensation by creating stories out of my head..!
the qn raised afew months ago was my friend who had this profile in this community..she gave me the link of the response, and also asked me to use her profile in future as she seldom use this community herself..in my situation, when we are going through lot of stress, i did not find time to create a new profile or update the current profile...i hope its not a major crime!!
today i checked the profile page, and i did not see anything relevant information that i can add (most of it is GC application related, which im not dong). the only thing i could do is remove the state of residence of my friend!
i cannot reveal my identity or share my personal information in a public forum other than my location which is India.
My employer had filed a civil complaint, saying i have broken the contract which i signed with them that i will work with them for 18 months!
if you do not feel comfortable helping a person without knowing the identity(i dnt see anybody in this forum using their real name), it is totally fine.

My perm was approved on August 27th 2007. The EB3 became current upto August 17th 2007. Besides, my lawyer got late in preparing the paper work for the PERM etc. and that's why we just missed.
With regard to my situation, does this meanI have to file for my PERM and I-140 all over again?
Also, is it possible under an H-1 for an employer to cut down wages and reduce work hours?

Ok , just got off the phone with my lawyer.He says we can not file a I485 because the priority date is not current. EB3 is showing 01OCT01 and we can only file that form when the bulletin is showing April2002. He says we are not eligible for that...And then he said "if the date was current, you would be in Turkey for consular processing and will not need file"

How can you expect govt to fix your problem if you lack motivation?
Lets start mobilizing the chapter
Remember, we are no VIPs, we are in a mass distribution system and no one has special previlidges here, your lives won't change uless you motivate yourselves and speak up for yourselves.
We need a very strong resprsentation from everyone in the community.
Ignoring our requests only puts all of us in a tougher situation

Your lawyer is correct. Since you are from India, you cannot apply for 485 at this time and hence you cannot get an EAD.
You can apply for your 140-NIW and wait for your EB2 PD to become current - whenever that happens.
Alternatively, you can check with your lawyer if you qualify for EB1 - extraordinary ability. In that case, the PD for India is current and you will be eligible for 485 immediately.
though note that for EB1-EA just a PhD alone is not enough. you really need to have shown extraordinary ability in your field (tons of papers published, recognition from intl organizations etc).
Otherwise you need to wait for EB2 to be current, which, if your PD is 2008, could be many years away (latest visa bulletin is at April 2004).

I recently came to know like many desi comanies applying the h1 s for their whole family tree,like cousins, bros, sisters.
think about them they will sit on the bench forever, also they cannot complain.
We are inviting the trouble for our own future. I am not aganist the H1b program,but i am aganist about this family business. They come here on fake resumes and fake degrees.
I would encourage every one to complain aganist them, so that real experienced people will not be screwd up.
they also play tricks like one person will take the interview for the other one and so forth.
Desi consulting is a big mess.

We did send lot of requests (letters) to Senate/House reps to include recapture and legal kids into dream act. But of no use. I think its simply waste of doing such campaigns.
