Apple makes monitors. Apple makes Apple TV2s. Take the back panel off the monitor. Insert Apple TV2. Put back panel on. Apply duct tape. BOOM. A smart tv.

The IPS tech screens are removed from specs...
Have they moved to TN panel sinstead...?
i do not think so, it is mentioned in the iMac Features page anyway
also, IPS panels are cheaper now compared to when they released it first in 2009?

Steve Jobs knew about this in January... this says a lot about his vision. I'm confident that he is already well-prepared for this and has something up his sleeve to counter it.
There will NOT be a sudden exodus to Argo from iPod. If it ever happens, it will be gradual and easy to fix.
I would agree, but then I think about how Microsoft was late to the party regarding the internet and their release of IE. The exodus from Netscape to IE was virtually overnight.

First to get the narrative reference gets a cookie. Also, there is no Night Watch because we didn't get 15 players.
During the massive PM telling everyone the game started, he and I were the only ones in the group. (remember it's 5 pms at a time). Hence I vote for you out of spite of me not being the only one PMd.
That doesn't mean anything. 12 divided by 5 has a remainder of 2. You and Plutonius where at the last two on the list of players.

This is a great thing. Now I wonder if this will support tmobile calls over wifi.
And I hope they sell the phone for higher fee upfront, and lower monthly fees.
That would rock

4mbps on hspa+ ? We've been getting 4mbps speeds for a few years now.
You know, t-mobile starting this nonsense of hspa+ as 4G, they deserve to have their network butchered.
really? can you show me your At&t speedtest?

I have a question...
Even now they have Thunderbolt, I suppose we'd still require expensive video converters to be able to use the (27") iMac as a display for an Xbox 360/PS3?
I don't suppose Thunderbolt means we can now just use a simple cable adaptor or something, no?

Spent the day yesterday at Keeneland Race Track for opening day of its spring meet. I'll be heading back both today and tomorrow. I still have a ton of photos to sort through and process, so there should be more coming. I just wanted to get one up to set the mood :D

I've seen the blue screen on XP. It's funny because I've been told by Windows users that it doesn't exist in XP, yet I witnessed it two weeks ago when a colleague of mine was trying to do something with Adobe Acrobat. The program just spazzed and the blue screen came up.
Your colleague either downloads porn/warez, or there is a potential hard drive physical failure (bad sectors on the disk), or he has crappy 3rd party drivers. Seriously, I've never seen the blue screen in XP and I've used XP since it came out on 3 computers plus work. These jokes on the XP blue screen are so misinformed that the laugh is on the joker. XP is very stable considering how much compatibility it has to provide for the infinite combinations of drivers, software and hardware.

If Lion does give you the ability to emulate iOS apps on your Mac....
How do you control them? A touch-screen iMac is a non-starter because of the "Frankenstein Posture", not to mention the smudges on the screen. A touch-screen laptop wouldn't be much better. I don't like the lying-down-iMac like in that recent patent, but maybe that's just me.
The Magic Trackpad is already a touchscreen, just with no display behind it. What if a new one came out with a display and some kind of ARM processor? (It could be an old, really cheap onethe Mac would be doing the heavy lifting.) You could pretend it was an iDevice, download apps for it, interact with them on the trackpad while the main display mirrored what you were doing.
Building the same functionality into laptop trackpads would be a later step, if this caught on, but wouldn't such a Magic Trackpad be an iDevice: "iX", associated with a "Mac", that they just haven't thought up a name for yet? It would debut this summer with Lion, to take advantage of the fusion between iOS and OS X.

Ample supply of 64 Verizon at SCP for no, but was told by the mall cop that we were not allowed to "loiter" and he told everyone in the back of the line to leave or we would be forced to leave. Real nice.

We've alreaddy seen threads entitled "Waiting for Santa Rosa" though, I think this will be a never ending cycle under intel. :(
Yeah, and forget the 8 core Cloverton... now we're waiting on 16 cores with Tigerton: http://www.dailytech.com/article.aspx?newsid=4659
It sure beats Motorola/IBM's PowerPC slow update schedule. ;)

I heard on the radio that the first thing he did every morning was to pull up TMZ to see what Charlie had done so if he knew whether to go to work or not
And I saw a tweet that said that Lindsay Lohan was worried about him
You know if she is worried about him you have reached the bottom
That's funny.
I think the phrase, "partying like the Kennedy's" needs to be updated. :D

Wow...are you really that narrowminded?
I'm not for one minute, nor did I ever say that Amazons cloud is invincible. The point I was making was that if Apple plan on using 1 datacenter, they will not only make the service unusable outside the US, but also make it pretty unreliable. The Amazon outage was the first since 2008 and was caused by a network glitch. Not exactly your run of the mill outage.
Either way, Amazons cloud will outperform Apple's, period end of story. You'd have to be a pretty delusional fanboy to think that Apple would have the upper hand in this market.
LOL you didn't even know about the outage until i posted a link. now it was just some tiny network glitch that wasn't the run of the mill ;)
did i ever say apple's was gonna be the biggest and the baddest? the funny thing is....i use amazon vod all the time on my roku....so naw, i'm not really an apple fanboy but thanks for assuming.
