For H4:
USCIS does not give any document stating the fact that AOS is pending. Although EAD is not required to be present in USA, if H4 is not there, only EAD is proof of valid stay.
485 receipt is proof of AOS
So if SSN is not there or DL (or state ID) is expired then you need EAD - EAD renewal is up to you.
SSN has already been obtained on first EAD. Now the question is why renew EAD if one does not intend to work?

I dont mean to be greedy or selfish but from a purely technical analysis this is extremely bad news for EB2\Eb3 India and China folks. Eb4 and Eb5 account for 10% of the 140000 EB green cards every year. If EB4 and Eb5 were discontinued these visas would have spilled over into Eb1,2,3 category. With the Eb4 and Eb5 extension in the senate bill we are screwed royally. There is heavy misuse in the Eb4 category, so much so that it Eb4 and EB5 may retrogress for India!!!!, there will never be any spillover from this category.
What amazes me is congress has been consistently backing eb4 and eb5 every year by extending it but nobody cares about eb2 and eb3. Not even provisions like STEM are making it.
To people who say stem will not happen, visa recapture will not happen and only solution is CIR because hispanic caucus or anti immigrants will not allow piece meal immigration legislation, I wonder how EB4 and Eb5 are consistenly being passed every year by the congress.

Hi Experts,
I E-Filed the EAD renewal on July 2nd. I sent all the required supporting documents properly. Also, completed the ASC - Finger print on Aug 5th. Meanwhile, on Aug 3rd, I got an RFE for the three missing documents.
They are ,
1. Photos
2. Application form not signed
3. Identity documents.
I do see that lot of RFEs are trigggered for photos and identity documents for e-filing.
But the main confusion pont here is that "Signature missing in the application form". I am not sure whether they checked if it is E-filed or not. Also, the have mentioned in the RFE letter that "Pl. ensure that you sign and return the enclosed photocopy of your application" for point 2. Funny part is, I only got the RFE letter and the GOLD paper(cover letter). Thats all. No other documents enclosed. I am totally confused at this point whereas photos and identity docs RFE are generally seen in the forum.
1. Please advice me if I have to fill in a new application with signature and send it.
2. Please suggest me if I have to write a cover letter with all the details to explain to the USCIS officer along with filled-in application.
3. Am i eligible for the Interim EAD Card after 90 days starting from July 2nd? I do see in few threads that I may not get the Interim EAD card after 90 days period as the 90 days clock will be reset when the officer resumes my application after receiving my RFE docs.
I am totally confused and job is at stake.

No Interim EAD are issued by USICS. Take an infopass, she will guide you what you need to do on this unique RFE.

Thanks for your suggestions.
First thing ,i should get visa dates then get my flight booked accordingly.I know both things are difficult to get synchronized thats why i am trying to gather all details ahead.
Lockers is a great idea ,i dinnt know about it.
Because of all the distances from delhi to native places and time shortage i have to do this.
So taking taxi from Delhi , i am pretty scared as i heard bad experiences. My couple friend got their certificates stripped of in delhi while they were going for visa.

That's true for my case. My labor certification was denied once due to the naive aknowledge of my para-legal attorney. It caused my LC was delay 1 year then I was stuck by Retrogression. Again at filing I-485, if I have not carefully studied the immi laws and reviewed my case, my attorney might mess it up. Many times I found my non-professional, clumsy knowledge on Immi laws is even better than my para-legal attorney

Actually the provisions in S 1932 (Sections 8001 and 8002) were dropped when the bill went to the House. The members who handled the fate of the immigration provisions in the house were Reps Conyers, Sessenbrenner and Lamars. It was argued that the Budget Reconciliation Bill (S 1932) should not include any immigration provisions as they should instead be included in future Comprehensive immigration reform. These sections which had already been passed by the Senate were dropped quietly by the 3 member panel in the final conference report. Given the rush to pass this bill among others, members of the Senate may not be aware that these provisions were dropped when they got to the house. While new legislation offers to increase the EB quotas, the provision to allow one to apply for I-485 (GC) and I-140 concurrently upon receiving Labor certification clearance even in the absence of a current visa number ( current priority date) is missing from the proposals, a key measure that would greatly alleviate the suffering of those who suffer from visa retrogression.

But Dobbs might want to pause before making illegal immigration a signature campaign issue: At least five illegal immigrants have reportedly worked on his properties.
The liberal Nation magazine, in a yearlong investigation conducted with the Investigative Fund at the Nation Institute, found that "Dobbs has relied for years on undocumented labor for the upkeep of his multimillion-dollar estates and the horses he keeps for his 22-year-old daughter, Hillary, a champion show jumper."
The Nation's Isabel Macdonald writes that while Dobbs has bashed employers for hiring immigrants without papers, he "has been far from vigilant about the status of workers laboring on his own properties." (The Nation has long editorialized against Dobbs and those who agree with him on immigration.)
Dobbs owns a 300-acre estate in Sussex, N.J., and a winter home in West Palm Beach, Fla. His daughter keeps five show horses worth about $1 million each at several stables; the horses are owned by the Dobbs Group, of which Lou Dobbs is president.
Macdonald spoke with several immigrants who were employed to work on winter property and helped with the upkeep of Dobbs' horses at stables in Vermont and Florida. Can it get any worse for LEGALS in this country than what it is Mr Tancredo? Any attempt by you will only get things better as we are at the bottom as it relates to LEGAL Immigrant miseries.
Tancredo introduces an immigration bill every week. Its like newsletter for him. There is nothing new here. No one listens to him. Not even the Republicans. If he was take seriously, then H.R. 4437 (109th congress) would be called "Tancredo Bill" not "Sensenbrenner Bill".
Tom Tancredo not only has 0 clout with Republicans, he has lost clout with a caucus he found. HIRC (House immigration reform caucus) was founded by Tom Tancredo. He is not a chairman of that Caucus anymore. I think its some other guy, probably Lamar Smith of Texas.

Temp # does not allow her to work. For working, she needs to find an employer that offers her a job and is willing to do a H1B. That way is the only way you can work if you do not have GC or EAD
