Nice. Another awesome media streaming feature that will be choked by AT&T.
There will probably will be a push to utilize WIFI. Unless, of course, you're one of the "chosen" to have their unlimited data plans grandfathered and won't be impacted. ;)

Me too. I didn't realize it has been 5 years since I bought my last pair of blue jeans. I only have 2 pairs of blue jeans, and 1 pair of dark greys. I don't wear jeans all the time like some people do, so I never think of replacing at least one of those. One pair definitely doesn't fit anymore, while I love the other pair (but they fit rather "meh").
I'm the total opposite. I buy a new pair of jeans every few months. Only own 2 pairs of slacks. I'm not at the point in my life where I should be dressing up every day. :)
Anyways, I'd love one of these, but it's not happening. :p

Of course, and I meant that in the 'general sense'. I have long since abandoned the use of Classic on any of my OS X Macs or any of the Macs I support. AppleTalk is so deprecated that I can hardly believe that anyone will be able to use it much longer. In fact, I wouldn't be shocked if it was completely absent from 10.5.

I am actually referring to enabling it for network communication with my Quadra 840av, LC 575, and other older systems that I boot into system 7 or even OS 8. Humans function on a reward system. You may climb Everest because of the personal accomplishment or the rush. Eating to the degree of excess that lady has is far more than a love of food.
Exactly, when I do Park skiing, I know it's dangerous, but the reward is there, the thrill, the excitement and the adrenaline rush all make you want to get back up that slope and go again. Same for climbers or any other kind of adventurous humans.
Obese people and food ? Most obese people don't do it out of love of food. Look at what your standard obese person eats while they are in a "weight gain" mode (before trying to lose weight). It's pure junk that doesn't have a particular flavor or good taste. It's usually just sugar/fat filled mouth stuffers, it's not rewarding at all, no subtle flavors to discovers.
Anecdote, this couple I know was vacationing in the states. They were eating at a local "Greasy spoon" joint (you know the place, anything and everything, grilled meats, burgers, salads, sandwichs). The guy looked over to his left to a very fat lady and she was eating a basket a fried chicken. He snickered. He snickered less when he saw that was an appetizer and she received a plate of fries with a fried chicken sandwich for her main course. He was completely dumbfounded when he saw her take a small packet on the table and start pouring it on the sandwich. That wasn't salt, she was sugaring her fried chicken sandwich which she ate after a basket of fried chicken.

I understand the theory of what you say, that gold has intrinsic value. However, the theory has never been tested in a true crisis. Trust me, if everything went bankrupt (stocks, bonds, t-bills, banks, etc.), then gold will be of little value as well. The ONLY thing of true value under those circumstances will be food and those things that can be used to barter for food (gold would have some value in that case, but so would a box of ammunition) The fact that someone paid $1000 or $2000 an ounce for gold before a crisis will mean nothing. It will be worth only as much as someone is capable of paying, and that will be very little.
The last run-up in the price of gold in the 80s was met with a rapid drop less than two years later to the $350 range, which is where gold sat for almost twenty years. While I have no idea how much more it will increase in value over the short term, the problem is that when the fall comes it will be quite rapid.
The biggest difference I see between gold and stocks is that one is based on negative gloom/doom thinking, and the other is based on positive/growth thinking. I have little to no interest in investing in gloom/doom, and history is the reason why. Periods of negative thinking tend to be short-lived.
I can only suggest you look at the history of other nations, it happens quite often that complete economic systems collapse. Try Mexico, Argentina, Germany or any war torn nation. In these nations those with gold maintained their wealth, those without had to start from scratch.

I bought a Mighty Mouse when it first came out.
Personally, I love it. I do have clicking issues, but not the same as others - where others fins it accidentally left clicks when they try to right-click, I used to get right clicks when I tried left - but after a long time of use, I have learnt to use it as I need.
The scroll ball is awesome, but does seem to fail occasionally...a bit of dampness ont eh ball fixes this though.

Oh I forgot...yes...the "Specs" argument. My bad. AND the Closed vs. Open debate. Yes...that too. It's so open that I can't upgrade to the latest Android version, because it's not available for carrier XYZ. But that's not Android's fault, or the Phone's fault. You can root it though. A tower is more disirable to people who are new to computers because it looks like youre getting more for your money. Obviously this doesnt apply to everyone, and saying such sacrilige on a Mac forum is going to get a lot of strange looks since the audience would be part of the "not everyone" crowd. But if you actually look at what SELLS rather than what you think people want then youll see that towers are the most sought after among the people looking for maximum value rather than style. People dont care what their computers look like, if they did then why would Dell have such a big market share with their ass ugly cases? PC's arent a fashion statement, theyre a tool. PowerMacs are absurdly priced and will never make a dent in the market share, so those are only options for rich people or enthusiasts that are willing to pay such prices.
Regardless of anyones opinion on how perfect iMacs are for new computer users, new computer users dont see it that way. They want value and upgradability since that means even more value in the long run. They dont know if they are going to upgrade anything in the future, the fact is that they buy a computer THINKING they will. You cant expect these people to know what you know, or to know that Apple has better quality parts than Dell or HP, they look at things and see computers and thats it. Not Windows, not OSX, just computers with already high prices.
