I have decided to quit my current Company A.
My termination date is Sept 15th.
Am talking to Company B for my H1 transfer.
Can you please tell me how much time do I have from Sept 15th if the transfer application gets delayed, incase.

Guys,
Friend of mine has got H1B1 visa stamped now. But we just found out that on his passport ECNR is not deleted. ECNR is still required there.
Can you guys help us to understand what this is? Do we need to remove ECNR before he travel to UR? He has BE (Mech).
When I came to US my ECNR was deleted and I am also graduate.
Your help appreciated.

She can file her own extension using form I-539. You can use your receipt number in her application. I am planning to do the same. It doesnt make sense to pay the lawyer a grand for that. If your H1 is approved, her H4 will be approved. There is no way I can think of having your H1 approved and her H4 being denied unless she has any violations or out of status etc.

Anoop - dont worry about it and ask your company to reapply with a stronger educational valuation. Everything depends on the educational valuation report submitted along with the application.

Hi Elaine, I have a similar issue. I work for a consulting company, the company headquarter is town A (the same with LCA location) and I have been working for client in town B since several years ago. I have asked my employer whether I need to get an H1B amendment, my employer said since town A and B belong to the same metropolitan statistics area and are within commutable distance (9 miles), there's no need to do amendment. Should I be worried with the new memo coming out?

I e-filed EAD renewal. On the I-797 Notice of Action that they mailed me, the "Priority Date" field is blank. The same is true for my last EAD notice of action as well which I did not check last time. Is it normally blank?
Is anybody else in the same boat?
I checked my receipt notice. PD is blank. I checked with a friend of mine and his receipt notice PD is blank too.
BTW mine is paper based filing.

I 've had a similar situation recently - where my H1B (with employer A) was about to expire and then another employer (B) had to recruit me, they filed for transfer+extension.
In I129 while filing, they would have to select (cant recall the exact verbiage) new employer (related to transfer) AND extension of current status. Its better to file this kind of petition premium. I got the new approved petition within 2 weeks with new expiry date as +2yrs, with start date earlier than the H1B expiry date (with A).

Please suggest, what are the chances of getting an approval. I know its little trickier but a straight forward case.

Hi All,
I have received a information regarding my EB2 (PD Jan 15 2005)Approval from my old company( Here all the fees are being met by me).I had left that company last year trying to pursue my carrier.
New company has given me an approved labour for EB3 OCt 2004 and I140 is approved.
I would like to know from experinced guys , as to what should I be doing, should I resign from new company and join back the old one?
As GC is for future employment, can i apply for I140 throgh my old company and join them back in I485 Stage?
When can we expect EB2 PD of Jan 2005 to be current.
I would appreciate your responses.

Do not expect anything, no one can tell you a specific range of dates when the priority of a Labor be current. You can join the old emp and use this priority date from the current emp of Oct 2004 to the one with PD Jan 15th 2005.
The priority date is based on a person so you can carry it anywhere only after a I-140 is approved for that labor.
So -- You at the old company can have priority date of Oct 2004.

Issue is getting to Canada and staying there long enough with the high taxes they have average canadian tax burden is 40% (30% tax + 10% additional sales tax on everything you buy) !

SO, lets say my company applies for me to h1b cap sometime after october 1, if by chance the cap is reached by the time we apply, and if my application gets rejected for this reason, am I still be eligible to apply and re-do everything for next year? if the cap is reached by late october or november lets say and if i get rejected for this, then can I do all this again on april 1 2011.

C# and .NET is probably the most common method since it's development environment is pretty simple. Kirupa can explain it a lot better.
